In line with Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 23, series 1993 on the adoption of pre-retirement program for government officials/employees, the Schools Division of Imus City has conducted a 2-day seminar-workshop entitled PRIOR or Pre-Retirement Innovations and Options for Results which was attended by 43 pre-identified participants composed of five school heads and 38 teachers, Feb. 21-22, 2022
According to Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres, PRIOR was primarily designed to provide continuing opportunities for advancement to those who opt to retire soon from government service.
"The goal is to aid attendees in discovering innovations and options that will sustain them physically, mentally, socially and financially after living an active service-oriented life," she said.

Topics discussed have ranged from personal financial management; savings, budgeting, debts and investments; how to avoid frauds and scams; and retirement benefits.
Leading the roster of learning facilitators is a recently retired employee herself, the SDOIC's former Education Program Supervisor in Science, Dr. Shirley Ferrera.
"Retirement is not the end of the road. It is the beginning of the open highway," Ferrera underscored in her sessions.
Other speakers are Ms. Naamah Mambalos of the Planning and Research Section and Mr. Reynaldo Salanguit, Staff Officer III of the Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS).
