Cavite Gov. Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. distributed a total of 1,584 android tablets to public elementary and secondary teachers as well as officials of the Schools Division of Imus City on Feb. 4 at the Imus Sports Complex as part of the provincial government’s ICT Integration for Cavite Public School Teachers.

In his short speech, Gov. Remulla underscored the vital role of educators in guiding and honing the young generation—the reason he fulfilled his promise of educational development in the province through technological advancement or modernization for enhanced learning in classrooms.

The governor also announced future development programs including Wi-Fi connectivity for all schools in Cavite which will facilitate the influx of new ideas, information and communication between teachers, parents and students.

During the ceremonial turn-over, Ms. Camille Lauren del Rosario, head of the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office, briefly discussed the ICT integration program in partnership with Microsoft Philippines.

Microsoft Ambassador Mr. Joy Gabriel provided basic know-how on tablet applications that can be used to enhance teaching and learning techniques for teachers such as the Office 365 Program and Microsoft Educator Network, a program specifically designed for the professional development of educators.
